Since he went to Thai Town for haircut, we spent one sunday bunch at one of the Thai Town's restaurant he often dined.
He knew so much about Thai food that brought me to a greater horizon of what Thai food can be. Seriously, in Seattle, I thought Thai menu only got curries, Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, and Thai Tea/Coffee. Obviously, it's only because Seattle doesn't have much picky Thai food critics.
That day he ordered the Stew Pork Leg on Rice, I had the green curry served with rice. Both were terrific!! The best Thai food so far. The green curry I special ordered it to be cooked with less coconut milk because I think coconut milk thicken the curry too much and I always ended up eating very little. With less coconut milk, the curry is more liquid and spicier too, since the curry's spiciness cannot be balanced off from the sweetness of coconut milk.
The Pork Leg was good, especially the stew sauce put on the rice. Oh my godness, it reminded me about the meat stew in home (Hong Kong) once a long while.
